ABSTRACT

ObjectiveTo observe the clinical effect of modified Yinqiaosan combined with antibiotics in the treatment of acute tonsillitis in children with wind-heat invading lung syndrome. MethodA total of 96 children with acute tonsillitis of wind-heat invading the lung syndrome were randomized into control group and observation group. The control group was treated with routine antibiotics, and the observation group was treated with modified Yinqiaosan and antibiotics for 7 days. The scores of major symptoms (sore throat, erythmatous throat, dysphagia, erythmatous tonsils and suppuration) and minor symptoms (fever, cough, stool, and tongue) and the levels of inflammation- and immune-related indexes [white blood cell (WBC), C-reactive protein (CRP), serum amyloid A (SAA), interleukin-6 (IL-6), and interferon-γ (IFN-γ)] were compared between two groups. ResultThe data of 92 children were statistically analyzed: 45 in the observation group and 47 cases in the control group. The total clinical effective rate of the observation group was 95.56%, as compared with the 93.62% of the control group. After treatment, the scores of major symptoms in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05), and the scores of cough, defecation, and tongue in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The levels of inflammation- and immune-related indexes after treatment in the observation group were lower than those before treatment (P<0.05). Except IFN-γ, the levels of the inflammation- and immune-related indexes in the control group were lower than those before treatment (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of SAA and IL-6 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). ConclusionModified Yinqiaosan combined with antibiotics can significantly reduce the expression of SAA and IL-6 in the treatment of children with acute tonsillitis, thereby alleviating inflammation and clinical symptoms and improving prognosis.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To explore and confirm the imprinting equivalence of Lonicerae Japonicae Flos (LJF) and Lonicerae Flos (LF) based on the autonomous function of the supramolecular imprinted template, and provide a new solution for double followers dispute. Methods: Using LJF dregs, LF dregs, and Chrysanthemi Flos (CF) dregs as host molecules, and the water extract of LJF, LF, Shuanghuanglian (LJF), Shuanghuanglian (LF), Yinqiaosan (LJF), and Yinqiaosan (LF) as guest molecules, the selective absorb of three host molecules and six guest molecules was carried out. The change of fingerprint of water extract of guest molecules was determinated by HPLC. Then, the MRT and their difference value was calculated through the total quantum statistical moment method, and t-test was performed on it. Results: When the six guest molecules was absorbed by LJF and LF dregs, LJF and CF dregs, LF and CF dregs, the MRT difference value was conducted by t-test. The results were P1 = 0.94 > 0.05, P2 = 0.02 < 0.05, and P3 = 0.04 < 0.05. We can see that all guest molecules was absorbed by LJF and LF dregs. There was no significant difference in the MRT difference value. But when six guest molecules was absorbed by CF dregs. There was significant difference between CF and LJF and CF dreg in the MRT difference value. Conclusion: The statistical data indicated that similarity was existed in both “imprinted template” of LJF and LF. There was difference with CF. It is identified the exist of imprinting equivalence of LJF and LF, which is compatible with clinical medication.

ABSTRACT

Objective To establish a method for determination of the content of Forsythoside A in Yinqiaosan granules . Methods HPLC method was adopted to carry on the determination .Welch Ultimate XB‐C18 column (250 mm × 4 .6 mm ,5μm) was used with the mobile phase of methanol‐0 .2% Glacial acetic acid solution by gradient elution . The flow rate was 1 .0 ml/min ,the detection wavelength was 330 nm ,and the column temperature was 20 ℃ .Results Forsythoside A showed a good linear relationship at the range from 0 .080 3~3 .211 μg (r=1 .000) .The average recovery rates were 103 .78% ,and RSD=0 .82% .Conclusion The method was convenient and accurate .Meanwhile ,it also has good specificity and reproducibili‐ty .It can be used effectively for the quality control of Yinqiaosan granules .

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the factors affecting the stability of the volatile oil extracted fromYinqiaosan Decoction. Methods The main chemical compositions and the extraction repetitiveness of the compound volatile oil were determined by GC-MS, and the stability of multiple extracted volatile oil was studied. Absorbance of the compound volatile oil was used as the evaluation index, and the factors affecting the stability of the of the compound volatile oil were investigated, such as illumination, temperatures and pH values of volatile oil solution and metal ions. Results The results of the GC-MS chromatograph indicated that the main chemical compositions of the compound volatile oil extracted fromYinqiaosan Decoction twice were the same. The results of the stability of the volatile oil showed that the preservation temperature and illumination affected the stability of the volatile oil to a certain extent. The absorbance values of the compound volatile oil changed slowly when it was stored at a relatively low temperature (4℃) and shielded from light, and it was less stable when stored in normal temperature and under illumination. Meanwhile, the absorbance of the compound volatile oil changed quickly in acid or alkaline solutions and was in instability. The metal ions, such as Cu2+ and Fe3+, have chemical reactions with the compositions of the compound volatile oil and there was a big change in the UV-Vis spectrum of the compound volatile oils. Conclusion The compound volatile oil should be stored at a relatively low temperature (4℃) and shielded from light. At the same time, it should be stored avoiding acids, alkaline and the metal ions, such as Cu2+ and Fe3+, to guarantee its stability. This study provides a reference for the preservation conditions and the preparation conditions of the compound volatile oil extracted fromYinqiaosan Decoction.
